CEE has taken initiative to invite the youth of our country to participate in a Model Constitution for a Model Nation. As it has been observed that our youth have superficial knowledge about their country. Despite of being a republic country, majority of citizens including the youth and the teachers are not aware of their duties and responsibilities towards their country. They have limited knowledge about our constitution.

On the concern to mobilise the efforts of educating youth about the importance of being citizen and the duties attached to it, CEE launched “Main Hoon Bharat” Campaign in the month of June 2019, which was welcomed and accepted by the educational institutions at pan India level. There are more than one lakh students who have taken oath to be an active citizen and to be ready to serve and feel proud of their country.

The constitution of any country protects the rights of all the citizens and consider everyone equal. It serves as the framework for good governance.

The social, economical and political problems faced by the people at present in our country, have affected the life of every citizen. It is necessary that youth should have proper understanding of the constitution, their right attitude towards it and their willingness to keep its spirit alive which will make them patriotic. While laying the foundation stone of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Memorial in Mumbai, our Honourable Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi also highlighted the concern and announced that November 26th would be observed as Constitution Day, where the schools’/institutions’ children would be taught about the constitution. HRD Ministry has already instructed all the schools to conduct activities to observe the first Constitution Day.

After creating awareness about the duties and rights of the people of our country, CEE is inviting the educational schools and institutions of higher education to come forward to participate in the national competition of “Main Hoon Bharat” campaign. The competition will invite the Team participation from institutions across India to present a Model Constitution for a Model Nation
